Hall Election 2018: Olasumbo Emerges As President For Female Hostel

By   Opeyemi Akeredolu & Grace Orukotan The hostel-residing female students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State (RUGIPO), trooped in mass to elect new executives for 2017/2018 Academic Session on Monday, 30th of July, 2018. The election was held at block A and B, common room of the female hostel at around 8am. While announcing the result, Miss Oladipo Olasumbo was declared as chairman of the female hall executive with 116 votes, defeating her opponent, Miss Elizabeth Ifeoma with 106 votes. Moreover, Miss Oluwatoyin Kekere as welfare director (unopposed) and Miss Toyin Oladimeji as Public Relations Officer. RUGIPO: For The First Time, AID Department Conducts Own Departmental Election

Election Ongoing...  By Tosin Ayekodogba For the first time in history, the department of Art and Industrial Design of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Ondo State (RUGIPO) conducted own departmental election to elect executives for 2017/2018 Academic Session few hours ago. The electoral process commenced with the presentation of manifestoes by aspirants, before the commencement of the election fully at the department's lecture hall. While declaring the result, the Chairman of AIDISEC, Ayomide Olugbona declared Ifeanyi Ogbodo as president with 55 voted (unopposed). Owo LG Issues New Schedule Unto Students For Signing Of Undertaken Form

By   Opeyemi Akeredolu The Owo Local Government of Ondo state has issued a schedule unto students of the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo (RUGIPO) for the signing of undertaken form. This was revealed in a circular signed and released by Mrs J.I Agunanna for the LG's Chairman to the entire Polytechnic community during the week. According to the Circular, students are welcome at the LG's secretariat on Mondays by 11am to 2pm and on Fridays by 11am to 1pm as from Wednesday, 1st of August, 2018. It further warned that, students who fails to comply with the directive would be denied of their officials' attention. Moreover, the deadline for the signing process was not stated therein.
